“I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what he will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint”.  (Habbakuk 2:1)
There are people who are prophetically oriented. There are people who constantly hear the Lord speaking to them. Unfortunately, I am not one of them. And a lot of what we are doing at Return to Zion Congregation is random, in a sort of âRussianâ way. But I am no longer ashamed of it, since the âRussian-Jewish methodâ sometimes bears its fruits. This method involves less thinking but is more quickly done. Maybe it is due to having so many different ministries and projects at Return to ZionâI hope that many of them and goodâŚ. but perhaps this is just a joke.
All people are different, and the Lord God is using people, with their different talents, to reach his goals. At least we see this today, observing how the different talents of our co-workers, brothers and sisters in the congregation and in our ministry, might be used for good purposes.
Some years ago, as a result of Supernatural Providence, we were able to purchase our own facility in Haifa. The facilityâan awesome gift from the Lordâhas a great location and is an instrument to serve people. Also, another organization that is helping disabled people became our neighbors. But one corner in the building, about 1400 square feet, remained empty.
And when potential tenants started to inspect the room, I personally found it suspicious. Unfortunately, we have seen not just once in Israel a corner space being rented for various âuncleanâ activities, and we didnât want at all to have such a place nearby. Basically, the Lord has been gracious to us, and we decided to approach the owner of that place, and we received a positive answer, so now we are using the space.
Since we already had some experience with a guest house, we decided somewhat automatically to develop it, and to build another, more comfortable one in the newly acquired space. We developed a plan, including an estimated cost. This is what we wanted to work on, but something was hindering our start. About three times we were not able to start the remodeling work, and thatâs when the âmiraclesâ started.
The last thing I would consider is to make a prayer tower. Therefore, when in my mind appeared a word like âprophetic studio,ââmoreover, in English instead of my native language Russian or my second familiar one, HebrewâI thought that for sure this was from the Lord. When we gathered with our team and prayed over this change, we understood that the Lord is directing us another way. Instead of developing an area we were familiar with, He is guiding us onto new ground and in a new direction; we said to ourselves, âThis is for others.â
“…will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 12:1)
And now we are building a âPrayer Tower,â or âProphetic Studio,â or simply a room in which people can pray and search the will of God. The more we advance with the remodeling project, the more clearly I can see that there are sufficient guest houses in Eretz Israel, but a place where the local believers and those from abroad might come and search for the Lord, a strategic place to search His direction, is much more needed. It was like an anticipation and a kind of âpregnancyâ inside of us.
It will be comfortable! Another week or two, and the place will be open for everyone to pray and not to worry about who is knocking on the door, for those who have the gift of prayer, and for those who want to search for HIM. This is a place for locals and foreigners to worship the Lord and praise HIS name with hymns and psalms. We are waiting for you, and we are looking forward to hearing from the Lord: words, vision and leadership. We would like to experience the Lord on a new level, and we are hoping, together with the words from the New Testament, that we ââŚwill go on to visions and revelations of the Lord.â (2 Corinthians 12:1)
To those who would like to come and pray at the âPrayer Tower, to those who would like to spend a few days or just a few hours there, to those who know how to do it, and for to those who are in the process of learning, we say âWelcome!â
