Despite the quarantines, epidemics, and restrictions, the flow of new immigrants to Israel does not end. As before, most of them come from Russian-speaking countries. The Aleph program is a great opportunity to invite new immigrants to reflect on eternal questions. Combining easy communication, games, and refreshments, scientific facts, and examples from the history of Israel, we reflect together on the origin of man, his purpose, and the relationship between creation and the Creator. Due to the pandemic we had a long break, however, now that most of the quarantine restrictions have been lifted we were able to return to the program of the Aleph discussion club.
Past meetings have shown that the optimal number of guests should be within the range of 25-30 people. For this meeting, we had 28 guests of the club (mostly young families who came with their children) and 12 members of the Aleph team gathered in November, 2021, in the hall of the Return to Zion Congregation for their first meeting of the club.
We are planning to hold seven such meetings, once a week, step by step we will approach the main issue of life – “how to restore the broken relationship with the Lord for us today?” Of course, we understand that no program, no matter how good it is, can, by itself, lead a person to the Lord. So, therefore, we pray and ask for your prayer support that the Spirit of the Lord touches the hearts of all guests of the Aleph Club, and so that He Himself guides all our discussions and our meetings.
