One of the main focuses of Return to Zion ministry is reaching out to the new immigrants (3,000 over the past 3 years). When they first arrive in the country, we provide them with basic supplies for their homes. During the holidays we hand out food baskets and every so often, Friday night dinners are held for them. Through these events we have found that there was a desire for deeper meaning and learning. From that came the idea for the Aleph club.
The Aleph club is a 10-week program that gathers at the facility of the “Return to Zion” congregation in Haifa. In these weekly club meetings there are open conversations, light meals, music, and of course, discussions about the main issues of life – biblical truths that we face every day.
We recently finished the first 10-week program. It was so apparent how interested and thirsty these people are for a deeper understanding. Watching and helping them grow together as a community was such a blessing. The most amazing part was at the end of it all, 7 participants chose to be baptized and rededicate their lives to the Lord.
We are looking forward to continuing with this program. Opening another round of classes in the coming new year and many more after that. For everyone to be able to join – we invite you to become a part of this project, in time, prayer and a material offering, thus participating in the life of the “Return to Zion” congregation.
