May 24, 2016. For the leaders “Return to Zion” was organized Leadership meeting with the founder of the Messianic Jewish non-profit organization “Maoz” in Tel Aviv.
Ari Sorko-Ram and his wife have been pioneers of the Messianic Jewish movement in Israel, and founded a Messianic Jewish congregation, Tiferet Yeshua (The Glory of Yeshua) in downtown Tel Aviv. They have sponsored many national conferences for Israeli leaders and believers. They also encourage and sponsor born-again Jews returning to the land of Israel. They help immigrants set up small businesses, help them with immigration, and have fought for the civil rights of Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) in the land of Israel.
Maoz also manages a humanitarian aid organization, istandwithisrael.com, in Israel that supports widows, orphans, the needy, oppressed and victims of terrorism.
This organization also grants scholarships for educational advancement in Hebrew language studies (for new immigrants), job skills and career courses, and university studies for Israeli Messianic Jews.
The workshop touched on the important topic of relations between the leaders of the community and its members, as well as passing theological questions. An important emphasis was placed on the responsibility of parents to have their children in the faith. This greatly affects their work in the community.
