During the Sukkoth Feast (Feast of Tabernacles), a wonderful event for new immigrants was held in our congregation. Over thirty people attended. We spoke about the meaning of this fall fest, traditions, and repentance. Interesting questions were asked, and answers given from the audience. The participants were open to listen as for most of them this was the first Sukkot event in Israel. They learned how to celebrate the Sukkot Feast, what a Sukkah (Tabernacle) is, what the four types of plants are standing for. The attendants learned also about our deliverer, and how to receive salvation from sin. It was a very fun and festive evening. After the lecture, everyone used the opportunity to have a sweet meal in the Sukkah.
